Still there is a huge market for smaller pocket knives and gentleman's folders perhaps those customers just arent in the market for a limited edition folder? I paid $325 for my small micarta sebenza, that is probably about the same size as the 707, and I got an amazingly lucky find or I'd have paid the full $400 for it happily. I have the large as well but find the small much handier and much more likely to be in my pocket every day.

I don't think collectors are too worried about finding space for their knives. They buy knives they based on if they like them or not, not based on if they have big enough drawers or not.
