Having carried the 741 for a couple of days now, I must say that it really carries very well. You know it's there, but it isn't poking you funny or anything. It rides very well in the right front pocket. ********************** ********************** You are the Sum of Your Actions. Knife Rights Member

I just saw video of this knife, and I can't stop picturing it without the entire top swedge as well. Looks like it would be great either way.

That's exactly what I was thinking. This knife would look awesome if the swedge was ground down.

I have found jimping to be overrated. The exception is all the knives I have not handled (can’t judge them) and the Snody HK Axis models. It never bothered me. Smooth is in, I’m all for it. Not just words in this case. Bob Lum, true gentlemen of the knife making world!! I don’t like the clip but have little problem with it due to the fact it is Bob Lum’s Forrester model. His design is OK with me.Thanks Mark!!

I got to fondle one of two my pusher had gotten in today - the other one my pusher had was spoken for. Numbered - first 1,000 - very interesting knife. I had my checkbook out - then I saw the fineness of the bevel - and, it was uneven, too. I decided to sleep on it. I loved the look & feel - would have preferred Ti like last year's 760 - a favorite here. I keep pondering it - may just have to return with that checkbook. I am waiting for the 755, too. I just checked the bevel on my 741 and as far as I can tell, it's ground perfectly...so you might just want to take your chances buying one online if the one the pusher has is off. Hey, I finally found my dial caliper so I could check the thickness of the 741 blade stock with that of my 520. The 741's measured 0.120". The 520's measured 0.121". That's close enough that it makes me think they both came from the same bar stock...just a different lot. Not that it makes any difference to me, other than to let you know that the 741 is a pretty tough knife in any company. ********************** ********************** You are the Sum of Your Actions.
