Just wanna say I got my NIB 760 in the mail a short while ago and am giving it a look-see and find it in perfect shape. Centered, smooth and sharp right out of the box - NOT BAD...even the clip placement's OK, a lot better than the Blackwater version I owned a year ago or so.

Repeating the "so" just said, so far so good! Smiler

Thanks Steve, glad to help you on the way towards that LX2. (I always like buying from fellow Forumites.) Big Grin

I tightened up the screw to prevent it from happening, but it always just loosens back up after a few more openings. I'm sending it back soon to see if they can fix it up for me. Anybody else have a similar issue?

That's just how the 760 is. You can crank down on that pivot and still be able to wrist flick it. Still a very cool knife, but the detent is on the weaker side.

I picked up a new 760BK LTi, low 200 of 1,000, in a black box last evening from my favorite 'pusher'.

I looked at the display 760 for months, but took home a RUKUS instead for my last purchase. My wife gave me a new mini-Skirmish two months back, also from that 'pusher'. I still wanted the full Skirmish - and found a LNIB at a super price. I still went back to the store to drool over the 760, etc. My wife shocked me with a 710-D2 for my birthday goodie the end of July. I was happy - until I saw that 760 again... the tanto edge, initially a deal-killer to me, had won me over. The last unopened boxed one came home with me - at a super price.

So, I've started a BM collection - and that 760 seems to fit between the mini and full Skirmish. I love the Ti frame lock - great idea. S30V is my favorite blade steel - but the allure of M4 is partially to blame for my 760's purchase. Mine is perfectly centered, evenly ground, can even raise a few arm hairs along it's length - even on the tanto edge. Push paper cutting is possible along the edge, even the tanto - with care. The lockup engagement is ~45%, while the storage detent is somewhat weak, but most likely, pocket safe. One clip screw required some care to remove - and a Kershaw keychain tool and a pair of gas pipe, pliers, too. I am most impressed with this knife, which I assumed would get a trip to Tom Krein, thank you Mike for the pix. I like it as-is today - and I will enjoy it as-is for a while. Thanks for the info here - which kept me going back...
