Welcome thumbuser.

You have one of the greatest pieces of BM's lineup and it sounds like you know it too.

Welcome APBT.

I personally like my 525S over my 520SBK and the 527. I like the weight of it and feel that the blade grind of the 525 is a stronger one to the hollow ground 527. Not that I can state the 527 is weak since I don't have one, but it geometrically looks stronger.

Good to know Chang! Thx for the welcome. A 525 is high on the list, sooner or later i'll bite on one. I got another presidio on its way to me as we speak hehe.

Thanks for the review, brj. The Presidios always catch my eye in the catalogs, but I seldom see comments about them and always wonder why.

What's the ancestry and relationship between the Presidio and the Nimravus? The Nimravus is listed as "Benchmade design" and not "Pardue design"

The handles have very similar shapes and features but I admit the blades look quite different.

Nimravius was actually designed by Allen Elishewitz, not Mel Pardue. Since BM and Mr Elishewitz went their separate ways his logo came off those blades that were designed by him.
