I have both, neither have cut anything but have been opened 50 million times.

No issues.

i edc an 580sbk for almost 3 weeks now, and like it more and more: fires hard, no blade play at all, a great blade shape, no issues ...
it's growing on me ...

My 580's are finally in the mail.

My 585 is a part of my EDC rotation now bumping off the 530. Which will make a come back soon. I still think we need more input and time. One thing for sure. If these baby's hold up, it will put a damper on all other AO systems. It's not even close.

I've had my 585 since the end of Feb. It has developed a small amount of vertical blade play after being opened a few bazillion times Smiler. Hopefully this is an isolated case. If it gets any worse, I'll contact BM.

I received two 580’s factory fresh. One had minor vertical blade play that should work it’s way out with some break in. At least I'm hoping, but it’s minor. The other had to too (thanks for the grammar Chang) much not to be sent to BKC right away. Disappointing for sure.

Confused

Sorry to hear that your Barrage didn't come up to par. I'm sure BM will fix it and you shouldn't have any other problems with it afterwards.

I have a 580 That I bought about a week ago. I have opened it quite a few times and used it to cut one box.

When I was sitting in front of my TV playing with it ( I know, I know, heh), I noticed that the last deployment seemed to drag. A few opens after that, there was a snap when I closed it, and no more assisted opening.

If it didn't last week, I am wondering how well a replacement will hold up over years. Just thought you guys should know.
