It does close all the way, but will not recoil back like my Griptilian. It tends to poke out. Shouldn't the spring keep the blade in the handle?

Yes, it should close all the way and STAY closed. If something doesn't seem right to you, then it needs to go back to the seller for an exchange or refund. If the seller won't help you, then Benchmade certainly will.

It's still holding up good because I've only cut with it once so far. (Just one apple) Smiler

I've been keeping the wiggle minimal with pivot screw adjustments. After I take care of a few other things here I'll probably sell it.

Just wondering if you have put a drop or two of BLUE loc-tite on the threads of the pivot screw?
to stop it from continuing to loosen up on you.

I've thought about doing that. But if I'm going to sell it soon it feels like I am doing it to someone else' knife.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with putting Loctite on the pivot screw of a knife. This is a very common practice.

I've decided to keep it, but I still haven't put Loc-tite in the pivot yet. I don't know why not, but I'll get around to doing it soon.

The 585 has a great blade shape and size for EDC, and I imagine it'll be good for cutting a fishing line since it's so easy to open one handed.

The Mini Barrage is going to be in my carry rotation often while I wait to get a 755 MPR.

I got a 580 for christmas from my parents and it broke on the 28th. I sent it in on the 29th and got it back on the 28th of January. It broke again that same day. Called them and they are going to send me a new 580 free of charge and i get to keep the old one and get it fixed for free. Hopefully the new one works and they get the kinks out of the old one.
