Does that new low rider clip have the same 3 screw pattern, using 2 screws, that's on most BM knives? In other words, can you use that clip on the regular pattern, using 2 screws instead of 3?

BM park clip all the way on most all mine.
I recieved a blackoxide split arrow and i really like the finish just not the overall clip style.
it's the pointiness of the clip tip.

To The clips not being able to clip over the pants pocket material...
I realy try not to bend the Clip Up of the Scales... Instead I prefer to just turn the tip of the clip up a bit more...

If you where to look sideways at the knife,
seeing the clip resting on the scales.. Looking at the angle of the tip of the clip.. say it is at a 35 degree angle I turn it up to 45 degrees.
then the dip of the clip stays in contact with the scales so if you wear thinner dress pants, it will still hold on snuggly.

I hope that was clear.

Are these available now?

And will they fit a 732 (Ares), without "stressing" the original screw pattern?

Thanks,
Edge

I believe they will screw right on to the standard 3-hole pattern that BM and other companies use.

I'm also a clip junky, but in a different way from Doc. I take the clips that come on the knives I buy and turn them into foldover, deep-carry clips. I do this using a handheld butane torch that has an operating temp of 2200 degrees and it does a great job on clips. On knives that the clip is not usable to being turned into a foldover, I usually don't buy. But this has not been a huge problem. I also buy standard three hole clips from usaknifemakers that are already foldover, deep-carry clips for some knives.

Just the confessions of a clip junky....

Man, I gotta say I thought pocket clips was a "knife geek" issue, but after reading this thread call me a "clip geek"!
Much more interesting than I originally thought.
Thanks Dr Forthington Pringles
What a great job you did in bringing this up in the manner you did.

Although I gotta say I love my painted clips on my user 710's.
I like it in the same way I like the paint worn off a strat.
It shows usage and love and a certain experience. It's a vet.

I'm loving those deep carry clips too.

Personally I love the 610/615 clip design the best, it offers very deep carry with very little knife showing. Now the execution of the clip was too weak in retention to be loved! Otherwise, it's my favorite.

I also liked the design of the clip for the 610/615 knives, but agree that they were just built too thin. Not sure of the thickness of them though. The titanium clips I buy from usaknifemakers are .040" thick and do not give or feel week. Here is a pic of the latest clip I've put on my Adamas;

I have replaced the silver screws with the new black screws Benchmade sent me. Excellent Customer Service!!

I have to agree about the split arrow clips not being right for some knives. I took the split arrow clip off a 950 and put it on my 940. The split arrow is perfect for the look of the 940 and compliments the overall design of the knife much more than the original clip.
The rift then got the standard parkerized clip.
After a bit of thumb stud shuffling the 940 has new black studs and looks great with its green and black and silver accents. The hd ti fender got some new (from the 940) studs as well, since the stock ones were absolutely terrible.
