Got the new NAK-LOK today,came dull but with 3 hits on a sharp maker it is sharp,blade play at itz best very sloppy the lockup is bad but we are testing a red class not a strider or sebb,it feels good in the hand a little heavy but itz ti,the new lock i guess it will take time to sink in on me,good looking knife.....

Hey I was going to mention to you the thumb studs where loose when I got it. I only finger tightened them, you may want to check them and add some loctite so they dont fall off.

Skip me on the trial run.. Im in for the raffle but since Im gonna be in disney for close to 2 weeks in a few I can pass on the field trial, I heard enough Big Grin

Thanx for the tip,i looked em all over and in order to tighten the stud a set of pliers - channel locks/lol,i have tools that will not mar it up,someone chime in with a tip...........

needle nose just tape up the stud with some duct tape first.. yes I know its kind of ghetto but it should suffice..

Hey Punisher, I read you have a sharpmaker sharpner. Any luck with d2 or m2 steel? I can't get d2 to sharpen on this at all? Kip

Yep i can get the edge back,sometimes it takes while to sharpen it,do you have a system how are you trying to sharpen........

I do have the system. I followed the DVD on how to do it. Had no luck. I had to sell my favorite 943 could not get edge.

Try not to push down hard,+ you will need to clean the system with a eraser,they also makes diamond rods and ultra fine also.
