What I was referring to was the knife unlocking when open. Not had on open in pocket however. ----------------- Current President Brotherhood of the 420 & Viceroy of the Knights of the Gravitator. I loved the look of the 890 as soon as I saw it, bought one and thought it looked even better, still love it and would not part with it.This message has been edited. Last edited by: d13avo,

I had one and liked it ok. I'm usually not big on assisted openers, but the nitrous mechanism is pretty cool.

I agree with alot that has been said. I think the handle feels flat out sexy. smooth with no real hard edges. It deploys lickity split...suprisingly so the first few times. It had good-Lock-up once I adjusted the stop pin it had better lock-up. I did feel the need to be mindful of the cut out for the liner access. for that reason I would call it a bit more of a light to medium duty cutting tool. I enjoyed the difference in the clip. I like that the knife rode l o w in the pocket. I did decide to gift it to a guy that I worked with cause he was addicted to the Nitrous system. I also had the blitz and believe I liked it more. For the size of the 890 I did not feel I could use it to it's fullest cutting potential compared to a knife with an axis like... like say a 615 or a 14205. Where the blitz's size and access to the liner left me feeling like it's safty was proportionate to the tasks I might take on with this particular sized blade...if that makes since. This message has been edited. i keep watching those 890 fault videos on youtube and im thinking this cant be real. those guys maybe chopped a few stones with their knives lol. i dont like 1 thing about this knife. the back of the liner is not stainless and it gets rusty. well not the liner but that metal thing with the hole on it, i dont know how it calls. that would be a back spacer..and I believe it is aluminum.. see yes, not details. but much lighter I would think. _________________________________________ ... it's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses...Hit it...! I was meaning "Not Stainless" sorry and that dang auto word thing on my phone gets me sometimes I can figure out what I meant by, "SEE YES" I think I meant ,"it did not mention what it was in the details on the BM site, but that it would have been lighter than a stainless steel 420 spacer" _________________________________________ ... it's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses...Hit it...!
