Here are some of my thoughts on the new 755 MPR along with some comparisons of a prototype to the production model. enjoy! 1. There are 3 holes drilled into the lockside titanium of the production, presumably for weightloss. 2. The G10 on the lockbar side of the Prototype is a fine pattern and smooth while the production has a larger and rougher patter. the front sides both have the rough pattern. 3. The blade behind the choil is crowned on the production model while only the edges are rounded off on the prototype. 4. The titanium lockbar mid knife is thicker on the production at 0.111 vs 0.096, not really noticable but visable when side by side. 5. The milling on the clip has been changed extending the long thin portion of the clip, to allow more flex i would guess. the overall length is the same. (i think it still needs more flex, the functionality of these clips is still a little rough) overall i really like the 755. im a huge fan of framelocks and im estatic to see BM offering this new one. Having played with a Jan prototype, Feb prototype and a production model i can see how they have tweaked this knife several times to get it as good as it is. ive been carrying my prototype for about 10 days now and its deffinatly one of my favorites now. though its won a place in my heart i do however have a couple issues with it. the clip, though it looks great on this knife, still needs work. it needs more flex and i find it difficult to clip onto jeans and other similar pants. im thinking i may tap the Ti and install a standard BM clip on it. second is the bladestop. its a BM standard hex shaped one used on the LFTI, Subrosa and others probably. IMO if the knife is made properly to the tolerances they boast a hex shaped stop to allow for adjustment shouldnt be necessary. every other knifemaker can get there blades to lock and not have verticle play without adjustable stops. these things are difficult to set (MOST of 50+ ive handled had some degree of play and these were set by people who do this all day long) and impossible to permanatly secure in a perfect setting in my experience. lastly is the L shaped lockbar. this was added after the first prototypes and is useless IMO. if the bladestop goes all the way to this "blade stop... stop" your going to have unacceptable lockup issues. i see no advantage to adding this feature since in essence for it to actually work that means the locking part isnt hitting the blade allowing it to go over far enough for this "stop stop" to work, but it looks nice. These thoughts arent meant to be seen as bitching, only constructive consumer feedback and suggestions to furthur impprove the BM products. if i didnt love BMs so much i wouldnt offer my feedback, id just buy another brand and save my time. This message has been edited. while i had the clip off i polished up the nub on the tip of the protos clip to a glossy shine and its really helped it to slide onto the pocket. id suggest it to anyone who may be having a little difficulty with their 755 clip! ------------------------------

I only have the one feb. proto. Its not drilled like the production, has both fine clip side / rough g-10, and thinner clip. Blade behind the choil is rounded off not crowned. just adding a little to the thread..... S90v Please......

Seems like you have the production vs proto reversed in #2 and #3. At least...my first production model appears to have the same features as your proto Looks like there was a slight mod to the blade profile as well. In pics I've seen, the radius after the thumb jimpping looks to be smaller (ie...steeper) on the production models.

I fondled a #4xx of 1,000 one Wed - so impressed, I forgot to check the various pre-production indicators. Nice knife - can't wait until my wife can sell enough blood to buy me one... That was in bad taste - even for me. Besides, I am further down their 'waiting list' at the pusher's... it may be a while. BR549 could likely get me one sooner - and probably cheaper. Angst!
