I see a lot of positive chatter about the 707 Sequel in the archives but nothing lately. Does anyone have any experience/thoughs on the Sequel Green Aluminum w/G10 Inlay, D2 Limited. BM707D2GRN?

Or any feedback for the 707 in general.
It seems like a fantastic EDC.
Thanks.

I have a 707SBK. I personally thing it is a nice knife. It's thin, light, and has a nice wide blade. I think it would make for a nice carry if you were in an office or just didn't want to scare people when you pulled out your BM to use it.

The one drawback that I, as well as others, would have to say is the size of the handle. It is on the smaller side. It's not uncomfortable to hold for me, but I don't think I would feel comfortable using the knife really hard. I think it all has to do with the thinness of the handle limiting the surface area that your fingers have to wrap around the handle. To me, that is a slight drawback.

Overall, I think the knife is great design for a sub 3" folding knife. I would buy one again if I ever lost the one that I had.

Chang nailed it on the head. I love mine, it is a light smaller knife with lots of blade. FWIW, it is my church knife if that makes sense.

I would think for someone who fished or hiked, it would make a great knife to have on you at all times. Light and solid.

The 707's a great little knife and I think the one you mention here is a good buy. Isn't it available at Roger's KW site for a little more than $100? The size and shape make for an office carry as well as general utility. Again the Axis mechanics make it strong as well!

I must admit I have always been more of a 705 fan than the 707. I just prefer the looks of the 705 blade. I will admit though that the 707 handle is slimmer, and I like that because it feels a little less bulky in the pocket and if you lay a 705 on a slope, it has more tendency to roll than would the 707.

The 707 is one of my favorites! The grip is too small for heavy cutting but that's not what a sub 3" knife is for anyway. I really like the full steel liners - lots of small/thin knives skimp on this and they just don't feel as solid as the 707 does. The green/black version w/ D2 looks great and is a very good deal right now.

The 707 has a great blade but the handle is way too small to achieve a good grip (as opposed to,say, a mini Presidio, which has a very nice and usable handle). If you are looking for a small EDC knife with a terrific blade, I would buy the 960 in M4 steel from REI, they are heavily discounted right now. Their handle is a little bigger and they are much lighter than the 707.

The 960SLV used to be my favorite model. I still find the Osborne design to be appealling. The only drawback I would say to the model, after carrying it yesterday, is that it is too slick. I think the design would be perfect if Benchmade just machined some tread where the thumb and index finger tend to be placed, like they do on most models. I think that added texture to the handle would ensure a better grip. That is the one thing that the 707 has over the 960, in my opinion.

I have a reg 707 and love the little sucker. It is also a "church knife" if that makes sense.

I would be all over the green ones but alas, my knife money is more than spent and I just don't need another smallish knife.

I find the handle to be a good fit for me for a small knife. I have medium sized hands if that helps. It sure packs a lot of blade in min handle space.

Roger really does have a great price on these!
