I would like to know what you guys think about the 522 presidio ultra. The 440C steel, synthetic handles and hollow grind, etc. Thanks!

Welcome to the forums patruick94.

I agree with the previous posts. The 522 is the best value for the money in the Benchmade catalog. I like it much better than the Grip.

Welcome Patruick. The 522 is a great knife for the money. The full liners, Axis mechanism, and excellent 440C blade, along with very strong handle scales, make a package worth looking into.

I also like the 522 better than the Griptilian. In fact, I prefer the 522 handle with the Valox scales to the aluminum handle on the 520.

440C is excellent steel for a folder that will get real outdoor use, and the hollow grind is quite utilitarian as well.

It's a great knife. One of Benchmades best for any price. Certainly one of their top values.

The bad @$$ look of the aluminum scales on the 520 is what interests me in the Presidios. What holds me back from getting one is my fear of how I will like metal scales especially aluminum and the fear of how easily the anodizing will wear.

WOW...Thanks for the feedback everyone, it appeared much faster than I had anticipated! I ordered one off of Ebay and will let everyone know what I think when I receive it! Thanks again!

I have the mini-Presidio Ultra and love it. Made a little vid of it. I agree with the previous comments about the handle. Its super grippy, more so and then Griptilian.
