Thanks! Coincidence actually, I saw that youtube review before I posted this! It was part of my decision to buy it. Thanks for the input!

I received the knife in the mail yesterday. I was excited as it is my first Benchmade and I have to say that I think it is great! Very strong, nice look and feel, great handles, no blade play at all and only complaint is the price (you get what you pay for though)! Thanks for the help with my choice and I will consult the forums again on my next purchase.

Good to see the Ultra Presidios get their dues.

I have three and they are among the best bargains BM offers.

Carrying the 522 today. It's simply a great sturdy knife at a very fair price.

Biggest dislike is the hollow grind which seems kinda out of place on such a rugged knife. Personally, I think this great knife deserves better steel and a stronger blade shape. I guess they figure that's what the 520 is for. But the Noryl GTX handles on the 522 are just fine.

I have loved the mini version - 527 - to death.

Will put a new blade in it some day...
