The first thought is 'WTH am I doing with this thing?'. Second thought re mine is simple - how do you carry this thing? Is there an aftermarket sheath maker who makes a toting sheath of some kind? Next, look at my new one - ordered/delivered before Thanksgiving, and shown with a Bark River T.U.S.K.:

Where is the BladeSport logo? It does have the #171 in the BM logo - and the Osborne logo & CPM M4 on the backside. Anyone else get one minus the B S logo? The knife is razor sharp along it's edged length ~ 9 7/16". The spine is .309" - and tapers, in the tang within the handle, to ~.185". Anyone else measure there 171? What is the weight?

Anyone know the real story about the handle? Is it really recycled horse stall rubber matting? Hmmm, a little water should bring the smell back... and add patina to the blade - oops. And - finally - the ultimate question:

What the heck are we going to use this thing for??

Stainz

PS Why no thumb jimping, a la the T.U.S.K.?

It came with the Kydex sheath - eight Molle holes down the spine side - another one parallel to the last hole on the bottom. No way to secure the handle, if screwed to a pack.

Seriously, anyone else have one without the BladeSports logo? Anyone weigh it??

Stainz

PS I found the 'woodsmonkey.com' review I read several months back - it said the sheath's rivet holes are spaced properly - but bigger than most. Also, it weighs 1.7 lbs - 27.2 oz. Their version had the 'B S' logo. Good review there.

Z O M B I E S !!

Why didn't I think of that? I got a Blu-Ray copy of 'Shaun of the Dead' for a stocking stuffer (I shouldn't have... really!). It goes well with my collection. Heck, I even watched 'Zombieland' wearing my RealDealBrazil Tarp Hat, like Harrellson wore in the movie. Now, I am really ready! Thanks!

Happy New Year!

I was in another local gun & knife store yesterday. They have a recent 171 on display - no 'BladeSports' logo on it, either! Did they part ways with Blade Sports?
