Guys, please have a look. This knife came from an Afghan shop in Kabul. Most of the staff they sell there is low quality Chinese fakes. But sometimes there are items, which fell of the back of a military truck.
I know nothing about knives. It looks and works very nice.

Looks like the real deal to me.

I only have a 5500SBK to compare it to and mine was made before the NSN was applied to the knives.

I'd buy one if it were me.

I'm not so sure. Serrations look wrong. Box looks wrong. Fonts of the blade etch look wrong.
First fake Auto-AXIS knife I've seen. Well executed, but not as good as the original.

RX knows more about this stuff than me. I'll bow to his knowledge on it, but it doesn't really look wrong to me other than teh serrations being deeper than usual, but I've got a few that are deeper than others.

Look at the font used for steel type. I've never seen BM use a thin font in that area. Also "BK" logo is usually etched closer to pivot.

Still can't imagine,fake with NSN number, bar code on box,real looking manual,even real looking plastic belt strip.

I can't stop looking at this knife now... the handles almost look cast rather than cut. The imperfections and the long pointed serrations have me thinking you guys are right that its fake.
