Thanks Mark. Yes, this is a 2008 production knife and so is the India Stag version I have ordered.

If you are interested in more info I can PM you with the *bay seller id that I have purchased them from that has the best prices I have found.

One thing I didn't mention are the dimensions. The knife is about 3.25" long closed and the blade has just over 2" cutting edge. So this is a fairly small knife which is what I was looking for.

I work in an office setting, so small is better. I usually rotate these : 707, 705, Blackwater 16707, 557OD and 557bt-400. On weekends out of office my first choice is either the 943 or 905. I particularly like the 943 as it is not too big or small and is extremely light for the size. The 943 was just insanely sharp right out of the box. The 905 certainly has the most "tactical" look of the lot. All are plain edge.

Case slipjoints are so nice. I've got a bunch of them and always have one on me regardless of where I'm going. I'm a stockman pattern guy and my amber jigged bone/raindrop damascus is my most carried case knife.

I don't know if you've ever watched the knife shows on cable TV, particularly on a network called ION. They sell knives into the wee hours on Thursday thru Saturday. Most of the items are just cheap chinese knives from Frost, but it seems they always have a few really nice slipjoints by Case and also some by Hen & Rooster. It might give you a chance to get your next Case for probably half price.
