I have the 960SLV and I love it. The model is so slim and light, I can't even tell it's in my pocket when I carry it. That one came scary sharp from Benchmade when I bought it too.

Mine's not (official)BM but I just got both the HD Hardtail and mini Hardtail in the satin finish, combo edge for both.

HINT TO BM:NOW APPLY THIS MFG TECHNIQUE(ALUM W/G-10 molded in)to the 551 & 556 GRIPS!....THAT's about as close to MY "Holy Grail" for knife design as they could make...double bolstered,G-10,FULL backspine Grips!(aside from offering custom scales like stag, jigged bone etc)!Come on BM...this overall design would be AWSOME IMHO applied to the Grips!(HEY....I gotta try right? Big Grin Razzer Roll Eyes **EDITED to add:I'd LOVE to see a entire line made like the hardtail(s),IMHO a 710 or 705 like this would be pretty cool(maybe introduce a 711?(710 w/707 blade style)made like the hardtail? I'd LOVE a 707 with scale/liner thickness to match the 705,but done with double bolsters!

So in celebration of the success of Mark's M4 AFCK Crusade, I'll be carrying my 806SD2 for this week. I haven't carried this piece since December 2005, if I remember correctly.

Sorry for the poor lighting.

For the last few days I have been carrying my 710-801 off duty:

On duty I have been carrying my usual combination of Mini RSK Mk1 in a pouch on my uniform belt:

..teamed up with a 550HG Grip and model 5 Rescue Hook in my firejacket.

Topher, I would think anyone who likes a 520 would also like a 525. Its tough like a 520. It's significantly beefier than a 94x knife. The 94x might be a little better as a gentleman's knife because the handle is thinner. The 525 is still a tough worker type knife. A no mess around, and don't get in my way kind of knife.

Fastjan, I see what you mean, one of my buddies, Rezarf, has a 943 so I can finally get my hands on one. The 94* series are great looking knives but I am worried they are to small. I have moderately big hands and the 520 fits my hand like a dream. The 525 is a 3" right?

Topher, I couldn't have said it better than Fastjan. So I won't.

I have largish hands too, and also love the 520. The 525 is perfect for times when the 520 might seem like a bit much. Yeah, it's blade is just under 3" so it's more people-friendly. WinkIf you really like the 520, you'll like the 525 too.

The 943 is a great knife: you'll end up with one of them sooner or later too. But I'd get a 525 next.
