Thanks guys.

I ordered a Wiha T6 off Amazon yetserday for $5.50 shipped.

And I did remember, I actually broke the Kobalt pushing a bolt pin out of the slide on my little AMT .380. The skinny half of the bit just fell off while working on a knife after that.

BTW, I Gorrila glued the plastic craftsman handle, and..........it didn't hold worth a crud!

I think the Wiha info is just what I was looking for.

Later.

I used putty epoxy to fix one of my Craftsman torx drivers, holding like a champ.

If you haven't done so, you may want to heat up the screw with a hair dryer or something else if you can to help break whatever bond is in there. A #6 torx driver is pretty small if you think about it. If there is red loctite in there or whatever as you've learned, it's pretty easy to apply more torque than any of those small drivers are designed for.

Good luck with the Wiha. Let us know how it works.

If it has locktite ....... use a soldering gun with a tiny tip and stick it on the screw head ..... that should heat up the lock tite

Thanks again for some good ideas.

The Wiha arrived and I kicked that Cuda's little torxed butt with it!

I think it is the solution I was looking for.

Now...any ideas for getting a broken tap out of a ss spydie handle?--2 bits down--pretty hard stuff--1 screwed up knife now!
