I while ago I bought a 635 from a fellow forum member here. It had a few tiny chips in the blade and a loose pivot (I knew this when I bought it).. So I sent it in to LifeSharp and noted on the print-out sheet that goes along with it that I was having trouble keeping the pivot screw tight, even with blue loctite.

I got the knife back yesterday and it is good as new.. Upon first examining the blade, I thought to myself "wow, they did a really good job on this blade... no trace of the chips at all." It wasn't until later that night that I realized they gave me a brand new blade! .. I remembered that the one I sent in had the Blackwood logo on it, and the one I got back does not (I don't care either way).. I only had the knife for a short while before I sent it in so it didn't click right away.

I had heard a million stories about BM's great customer service, but this was my first time actually sending a knife in to them for maintenance, and I guess the perception is right.. The customer service is outstanding. Thanks BM!

2 weeks exactly for me... I mailed it out 7-21, got it back 8-4... But I live in NY state..
