i seriously think BM should do alot more for the grip. such as:
an assisted open grip
replacable blades with various steels available
replacement handles in carbon fiber, g10, etc
more blade styles (i know they already have 4)
Grips should be the Scions of pocket knives. fully customizable. that would hot.
who here would not buy replacment handle scales if BM offered them? i know you can get them from private makers, but they cost more than the knife and you can say bye bye to your warrenty.

I like the idea. Just make 'em a production option or Heaven forbid add an M4 blade to black G-10 scales and you'd find me lined up for one! CF would be cool too but would make the thing a lot more expensive to own.

If I could get G-10 handles for less or equal too the cost of the knife, I would be ordering sets...

I'm down with that idea... I'd get a few more.

I'm also down with a timascus framelock grip, with M4 steel, or wooly mammoth ivory.. Big Grin Big Grin

The more customizable they are the more they appeal to me... I think thats part of the coolness of owning a few grips, you can throw the Wilkinsgrips on there and have a whole new knife... If that did that with the blades and added a few variations in handle material, I'd definately be there.

it's a great idea for the grips...
and well what about doing the same with other knifes?... BM should sell carbon fiber scales, titanium scales, g10 scales... so anyone can customize their knives...

Well, they already do that to a point with the Rukuses.

So far as the others, I don't see it happening. The issue comes down to the warranty stuff. And I can't fault them for that.

As well, the premise of the Grips was to provide a USA made axis lock that won't break the bank (albeit there are a couple different flavors out there). At that point, it's not the griptillian as we know it.

Nice idea, but I wouldn't be holding my breath on it.

More options for the Grip is a splendid idea. I, for one, have desires for a hollow ground drop point blade. The very thought makes me weak.

Like I've said before , how about a plain old grip with regular handles, just add a M4 blade. This would be a great work knife..sort of a super beater in a price range that would work for everyone. After all the grip is BM's #1 seller, just super steel the blade.

about warranty that could easily arrange by saying. Warranty only covers models without any mods. so if someone mods any knife, the warranty is over that's it.
but you will have the option to mod your BM as you want. for me warranty is not an issue..if I could put scales and mod the knife as I want.
