BM-950 WARREN OSBORNE DESIGN RIFT WITH 3 5/8" PLAIN EDGE 154CM BLADE. 4 5/8" CLOSED. BLACK AND WHITE G-10 HANDLE SCALES WITH BLACK METAL POCKET CLIP. AXIS LOCK DESIGN. $124.00

Cold Steel... those ti lites are horrible. Of those three I prefer the 426 but I'm pretty sure everyone will tell you to buy a 950.

I dont know that much .....where in the hell did you get the idea that I did ?
IMHO ...the 426 is more rare a knife.
Except for the serrations , this is the knife I would buy out of the three you have listed.
Unless of course you like smaller knives like me ....then the 440 is a good one too.

I had a 950 and really liked it, but it was too big for my pockets.

I haven't had any of the Snody designs, but people seem to like the 426.

Talk to Frisky Dingo if your really interested in titanium, he likes to work with titanium and Benchmades. I think I saw him trying to a sell a pimped 426 recently.

The 940 was a good suggestion. Give the 930 a look too if your looking for something unique, the blue/black G10 is great looking! I really like all of the Osborne designs. Big Grin

Hi Tom,

I wasn't asked...but DJ knows a lot more than me...Smiler

Anyway agreed the 426 is the one to get. Discontinued along the line it's a weird design until you hold the thing and discover it's really good. With 'double thick' Ti liners it's basically a frame lock with G-10 skins. Once broken in it's about as smooth as it gets as a folding knife.

I also like the 950 Rift, which has become one of the classics of the Benchmade stable, and comes in a lot of different versions. Slim and easy to carry it's worth exploring.

I'm not a fan of the 440, although it's a nice little knife, just a bit too small for my tastes.

And as a request: Can you back off please on the caps in your postings? We call it 'shouting' and it's not necessary. You do good posts and we can read them in lower case just fine.

I never said I was smart, but I can read just fine...Wink

I would have gone w/ the 426 but the serrations kill it for me. If you don't mind the combo edge then that may be your best bet, but alot of people are not huge fans of c/es

Of those choices, you might want to keep looking. No rush you know.
Would also keep an eye out for a Plain edge 425.
Very few seek out combo edged knifes......
