Mini Rukus with A/O would be my vote. Great knife. Drop point blade's more useful IMO.

About the only complaint I've heard about the Rukus family is the relatively small blade length compared to closed length. In other words, it's less pocketable than other designs.
That said, I love the styling, the ergonomics, the open back design, everything about it. I'd go to a store that still has one (doesn't have to be assisted) and check out the feel and the size of it. If you can handle the size, it'll be a great knife for you. 2c! __________________________ Griptilian: 1x Gold, 1x M2, 3x M4, 3x S30V, 2x D2, 4x Ritter, 1x NRA, 1x Blackwater, 2x Cabelas Rukus: 610 Proto, 610 1st Prod, 615 Proto, 615BK, 615-1, 615-2, 615SBK-2 |

The mini-Rukus comes with Axis Assist?
I thought it was an auto? You must be referring to a limited edition? If I had to choose between a Warn and an Axis Assist mini-Rukus, it would be the mini-Rukus. But if it were a Auto Mini-Rukus, I would have to pass due to the "empirical entanglements". Once both knives are open, my choice for usability would be the drop-point mini-Rukus. The full-width blade grind and conventional blade shape are the epitomy of cutting efficiency and versatility. Both knives have exceptionally ergonomic and comfortable handles. The Barrage-Warn do have the Axis lock safety, which is really slick. Having said all that, I don't currently own a mini-Rukus...not sure why...I was tending to carry the 950 and 520 when I wanted to carry something in that blade length, so I sold it. I do currently own a Barrage-Warn. I swapped the blades between the two, so I now have a Barrage handle with the Warn tanto blade in it, and a Warn handle with the satin Barrage blade. I really like both knives, but don't carry the tanto much. It is a glove box knife in my truck. As "tantos" go, the Warn is a very cool one. Hope this was useful! Of course the choice between the two is a very subjective one, and you will need to make that decision based on your own personal preferences. I have always found that impossible to do without having both choices in my hand, and maybe even cutting stuff with both of them for a while. You can always sell the one you don't favor and get some of your money back. 581BK-1102 Hybrid, 585-1BK Mini Barrage, 587SBK-1 Mini Warn, Bradley Alias I LE, 581, 525/Bone Collector, 941BLU, 520BK/Bone Collector, 760Ti Krein Regrind, 583SBK-1 Warn Tanto, HK14210, 707-701, 140HS, 551-101 Gold Grip, 941BC, 950BK M4, 220, 30, 42, 32, 53 |

As far as I know, all Auto and Assisted AXIS lock knives have a safety feature that can lock the AXIS bar whether the knife is open or closed.
Also AFAIK, the models are as follows: 615(S)(BK) "normal" unassisted Mini 615(SBK)-1 all black AO (Plaza?) LE Mini 615(SBK)-2 black and blue AO SHOT Show LE Mini 6150 Auto-Mini Personally I prefer unassisted knives but if you can get one of the LEs at a reasonable price, it's a sound investment and something that can always be traded for an unassisted version later if you'd prefer that. P.S. Can someone confirm that all Mini Rukus variants were made in S30V? I seem to have the nagging feeling that I've seen some in 154CM or something else before, but I can't quite remember, and I can't get to mine to check. __________________________ Griptilian: 1x Gold, 1x M2, 3x M4, 3x S30V, 2x D2, 4x Ritter, 1x NRA, 1x Blackwater, 2x Cabelas Rukus: 610 Proto, 610 1st Prod, 615 Proto, 615BK, 615-1, 615-2, 615SBK-2 |

If the clip made the knife it would be the one used on the Rukus. That sloppy wiggly thing should have been addressed long ago. And the thing's painted at that, there aren't any Parked versions that I know of. (The clip issue is one of my longest standing peeves with BM...)
Good news is they're free for the calling so I agree make the call and get extras. And on general 'pocketabity' the clip always came off anyway and into a large BM velcro pouch. Too big even as a 'mini' otherwise. 350, 520, 525, 525BK-1101, 530, 530-901, 580-1102, 580 Proto, 583-1, 585-1, 635, 710-1, 710HS, 710D2, 722, 732, 740, 740 Proto, 741, 745, 746, 750, 760, 790, 800, 805-1101, 806BK-901, 812, 830, 831, 835HS, 840, 845, 905, 907D2, 910, 910SCG, 912D2, 913D2, 12400 Proto, 12410, 14205, 14210. Hey, my Ruki clips, like all of my clips, remain pristine - and in the box. Gotta admit, the 610 is one heck of a big pocket knife!
Now - about the 6150 - my wife gave me one for Christmas, knowing I had a 610 & 615 already. The 6150 is 'assisted' about like the 790 Subrosa - once you 'start' the 790's blade moving. Just stay out of the way of either one! I like manual knives - but the 6150 was a gift - my one and only 'auto'. She has a 3150... her only BM - and loves it! I saw the other thread where you already picked up the Onslaught, but get the mini-Rukus while you still can too.
I know the clip is a pet peeve for some folks but I have never had an issue with it. Ever. And I mean never had an issue with the clip on any of my mini-Ruks. I wonder if at some time BM changed the manuf process for those clips. ------------------- "There's a conflict in every human heart between the rational and the irrational, between good and evil.
