The question had been raised about a certain new model knife with the new style deep carry pocket clip. Will the new two hole clip match up to the two bottom holes of the standard three hole clip screw pattern. I can now answer that question. Yes. I swapped out the split arrow clip on my 9530, (which has the standard three hole pattern that's on a dozen knives), with the new deep clip. It went on without any problems. The two holes on the new clip are just a little larger, but it had no effect on mounting it to my old knife. It went on without any problems. I did have to bend the clip down just a little, since it didn't contact the surface of my knife, but that was no problem. Now we know.   | ||

It really did make a difference on this one. I'll have to carry it awhile to see how I like it. I think I'll have to swap this clip out on a couple of different knives to see how they carry. I'm wondering if it might be too deep, especially after getting used to the standard clip, and how there is a little more knife to grab when it's sitting higher. | |||

Good one DB, thanks for passing the info along, I was curious too. You make a good point about the carry clip placing the knife too deep in the pocket. I'm pretty sure after a short time this clip will go back on the Adamas. I just wanted to see if it fit and how much of a difference it makes. The novelty will probably wear off soon. Besides, what will I do for a clip on the 275 if I decide to carry it. So far it's turning out to be a pretty large folder to carry very much. Most of the time I don't need a knife that big for everyday. | |||
