at a local knife store, there is a new addition.

1 of 1000 plain edge, coated, lightly used and sharpened 140. it has the original kydex sheath with belt clip and g10 handles.

i could get it for 80 bucks.

some of the coating is gone, but i would rate it at 80%

nice edge and all

What steel and why is it numbered? Is it a proto or pre-production? If it was m2 I would jump on it.

it is first or pre production , i forget which


it is nothing crazy as far as steel. it has no steel marking

Doesn't sound too extra ordinary. The g10 scales make it worth your time to buy if you were thinking of getting a nimravus. Saves you having to shell out 65 dollars for them as extra pieces.

+1 I would buy it at that price cant go wrong.. 85.00 is what I gave for mine and its one of the earlier versions with G10 handles.. This has got me asking why does benchmade do this since everyone seems to like the G10 handles better than the current aluminum production handles, why not just sale them with the knife? Maybe its just me.. Maybe the G10 handles cost more to manufacture?

Get an already broken in knife at a decent price. Instant user. 1/1000 in Pre or First doesn't mean it's actually #1, only 1 OF.

Glad they changed that process years ago in favor of the current numbering system.
