Just over on another Forum I read a posting asking about the quality of these new Chinese made offerings to the HK lineup.

Curious to know if any of you have one yet and what do you think if you do?

I'm kinda liking the 14650. Looks like they used the Bradley Alias design for it.

I was looking around the usual dealers today to see where I could buy them. I know you can get them at BKC, but I need the price break I get at the online dealers. I couldn't find any yet, but would appreciate it if anyone notices them. I might try the 14302BT, the 14352BT and the 14650BT. If I don't like them...then I'll give them away.

I've handled the 14352 regular sized Ascender with the drop point blade and the 14301 Mini-Ascender with the tanto blade shape. They seem decent. The handles are thinner and less bulky than the Vex, with the Vex feeling a little more solid in my opinion. Those are just my first impressions...

Joe,
I was in on that thread. You posted right after me. A few guys in that thread were mad at me for calling this knife an HK by Benchmade. There is no end to the things folks over there will pick an argument with. I have a feeling that one of those guys may be a member over here as well.

I have not seen this knife anywhere other than the Center of Knives on the Internet. I would love to know how it stacks up if someone has a review. Say what you will but 9Cr13 gets razor sharp and is easy to maintain. But there is more to it than the blade steel. Liner lock, quality of G-10 etc.
