I noticed recently that several models of Griptilians on Benchmade's website, have "GSA contracted item" under them, and links to their GSA number.

Anyone have knowledge of which government agencies are issuing Griptilians?

I have saved screen captures of a border patrol agent cutting open a tire on two separate occasions with a 551SBK, on the show "Homeland Security USA", so I wonder if they might be??

You got me hooked into the show, Chris. I've started watching today and I'm already on Season 1, Episode 8. The people who protect our borders are such heroes (& consequently "badass" by definition =P).

So far, I don't know of any agencies which issue them. However, I've seen some Grippies on the 'Bay which may have been contracted by gov't agencies: including ones with the Blackwater logo, USMC logo, and possibly a US Border Patrol logo. (I might have the US Border Patrol one mixed up with a Delica or Endura, though...)

That show depicts agents using knives quite often for opening bundles of drugs and controlled substances. Very interesting... The only other knife which I may have recognized from the show is a stainless steel Spydie in the second episode or so.
