Did Benchmade discontinue the Rukus and Mini Rukus? Luckly I have one of each, if this is true.
If they were discontinued, what model/s replaced them?
I've seen some mini grips without the thumb stud. Is this standard now?
Thanks Gary

Yes, they've been discontinued, and no I don't think they've been replaced by anything quite the same.

On Mini-Grips there are two opening methods offered, the thumbstud and 'Spydie' hole. You COULD say the Grip is a standard itself, most that know knives can tell it's a Benchmade IF it's a Grip.

Yes The Rukus line has been disco'd its a shame because they are a great value for the money. And like Joe said the grips have two styles for opening the spydie hole and the stud. BTW Welcome to the forums..

Bummer on the Rukus Line....
I'll keep in mind the thumb stud is available yet. Saw Cabela's still have them for sale.(D-2). Any new steels being used? Last I heard of,and it's been a couple years, it was SV-30?
Thanks for the info.

The mini-grips come standard with 154cm.

I don't think they've ever come with S30V.

Mini Ritter Grips do. And I believe there was also a run of CE Grips made for NRA with S30V blade.

The S30V Ritter Grips are still a really nice upgrade to the standard 154CM... despite being overshadowed by the limited M2 & M4 offerings. Also, I think there are still some of the D2 (olive drab) grips - made for Cabelas - to be had if you look around for them.

Cool
