@Jim, exactly. One handed operation is one of the many reasons I like AXIS locks, and one of the many reasons I don't like assisted mechanisms. __________________________ Griptilian: 1x Gold, 1x M2, 3x M4, 3x S30V, 2x D2, 4x Ritter, 1x NRA, 1x Blackwater, 2x Cabelas Rukus: 610 Proto, 610 1st Prod, 615 Proto, 615BK, 615-1, 615-2, 615SBK-2

The diff in hand between the 2 handles is even greater than the photos would suggest. Like the diff between holding a ballpeen hammer, and a framing hammer-- _________________________ yeah, I'd take an 805M4....

Don't discount assists for that reason-- you can always remove the assist, as I did w/ my Warn tanto, and be left w/ a std Axis lock/operation-- _________________________ yeah, I'd take an 805M4....

If I had to choose between an AO design I liked or a manual mechanism with a design I didn't like I might do that, but I'd still be a little miffed about paying for the more complicated mechanism just to rip it out, as well as the warranty implications of disassembling the knife. I'm glad that most of BM's designs that I like anyway are unassisted. =) __________________________ Griptilian: 1x Gold, 1x M2, 3x M4, 3x S30V, 2x D2, 4x Ritter, 1x NRA, 1x Blackwater, 2x Cabelas Rukus: 610 Proto, 610 1st Prod, 615 Proto, 615BK, 615-1, 615-2, 615SBK-2
