Anyone seen a guy selling the 960BK-801 on ebay for $325? And he has 3 to sell! A while back I had a NIB for $200 that I didn't get a single bid for, but did end up selling it on BM forum. I know in the end it is worth what someone is willing to pay, but this one doesn't seem like it's worth that, since he hasn't sold a single one at that price. Just amazed at the mark up on some knives...

Seriously, I paid mine 213$ with shipping from REI, and later received a price-guarantee refund of 50$. I would not pay more than 140$ shipped for another one. I WOULD, however, trade my 12800BK-801 for the 960 Wink

Do you expect to be able to whine about eBay listings and not have the seller get pissed? Furthermore, do you not realize that most sellers of the higher end Benchmade are members on their forum.

I am the person selling it for $325 OR BEST OFFER which is something you failed to convey.

I have tried to sell and trade many of the LE Benchmade knives on forums only to have people offer me next to nothing or a completely ridiculous trade offer such as trading 6 LE Benchmades for a Chris Reeve Sebenza. You generally list high as people offer low which is how the market works and you negotiate to a price you and the buyer agree on. I had them listed at around $250 OBO and I had people offering me $70. I am also paying around $30 between eBay and PayPal fees and I am offering free shipping which is another $15 as I ship a high dollar item how it should be shipped; so right there it is $45 which I will never see.

It's frustrating as hell to see people on forums whine and complain about selling on eBay and is even more annoying when they (mis)quote specific listings. Normally I don't jump in when people complain about my listings but you are not even conveying my listing correctly because either: 1) you did not read even the basic listing, or 2) you neglected to convey the facts. This looks bad on my behalf as the concept of BEST OFFER is to allow the buyer and seller to negotiate a price. If I wanted to sell it for $325 and not bargain, I would not have used the 'Best Offer' feature.

Does no one realize that virtually ALL of the LE Benchmade sellers are on Benchmade Forums?! How else would they have knowledge about LE knives since most LE models aren't listed on their website?!?! View the price I was listing them on the forums here and you will see it is nearly $100 LESS than the eBay price. If you don't like my price, you can either 1) make me an offer via "BEST OFFER", 2) make me a trade offer, or 3) DON'T BUY IT. I paid a boat load for each of them and through an unusual sequence of events I wound up with 5 M4 960s. My goal is simply not to lose a tremendous amount of money or to acquire something cool through trade to let me get other BMs and CRK.

Perhaps the reason your item did not sell was not the price but the quality of the listing. eBay purchase history only shows the last 30 days with how we list it and we do this intentionally. As far as the slow moving aspect, the 960 is not a very popular item as not many people know of its existence and the 960 has historically never been a super fast mover due to its smaller size and the fact that it is one of Benchmade's more expensive blades.

Regarding the 'computer generated graphics', I used handwriting in my listing to show the item is MINE, is REAL and is NOT A STOLEN IMAGE as a lot of people on eBay use stock photos and then deliver a different product than what they sold which is hell for the buyer and seller. By this way of picturing, you see exactly what you get.

If you are going to piss, whine, moan and slander my listings, at least convey ALL of the facts as it is an insult to my fiance's and my integrity when you pick and choose what you say. We work very hard to maintain an outstanding image in the aquatic, cutlery, and eBay community and negative attention like this is not appreciated.

I am as relaxed as anyone can expect to be when someone is blatantly lying about myself, my company and my product. I agree with you that forums are for discussing as well as for the spread of information... they are NOT for spreading misinformation or lying . You blatantly lied to everyone in this forum and 1) destroyed your own credibility and 2) tried to make my company look bad. If you listened to a single thing I said in the last post, or actually looked at the original auction, you would understand that I am not trying to get $325 for it but rather a reasonable offer.

No, you are actually trying to rip-off someone who does not have a clue about the market value of your knives out of 325$. You could not get the price you wanted from forum members because probably there is little interest for those knives, so the only option you have is to turn to the uninformed crowd on eBay.
I do not think Tony K. meant any harm with his initial post, he was just mentioning something hilarious. The way you reacted is much more telling. You just made it onto my ignore list. L
