For yall that have one of the new 760 how strong is your detent? Mine seems really weak if not nonexistent. I mean I can open the knife with just a wrist flick.

I don't want to send it into BM if this is just inherit to the design of the knife.

I don't have one.. But I've heard others say that it can be opened with a wrist flick, too.. So I don't think you're alone.

I prefer a little more detent, myself.

I had the same problem and found out that BM did not put loctite on the pivot screw. This was a minor adjustment. I removed the pivot screw add loctite and adjusted the pivot screw to my liking.

I had one of the Blackwater versions and it also flicked well. I always thought it was the weight of the blade that did it. A 760's on the "A-List" when I can get to one.

I have versions of both the Blackwater and 760 and all of them display a comparitively weak detent to hold the blade in the closed position.

As above ...... just tighten the pivot a little to what you like........
If you notice , there is no blade play with this easy openning Cool
Personally , I love it ........ if I wanted something hard to open , I,d get a lock back knife.

No it's just a poorly executed ball detent. My large Skirmish has excellent detent using the same design. If I tighten the pivot to the point that the blade doesn't come flopping out it's almost impossible to open. O well it'll make a good safe queen.
