Took delivery of #437/1000 today from Roger. Thanks man.

I'm no expert, but the liner lock appears to be mating with the base of the blade properly. Albeit a flimsy liner, it seems to be doing it's job.

Nice knife at first inspection. I'm digging the deep carry pocket clip.

Not to be smarty pants (who me ??? Razzer), but define "Junk".

In other words, what's it doing, or not doing.

I have a 782/1000 Toprrent and the lock up appears to be good. The lock bar of the liner contacts the tang of the blade in the center. I checked before I left the dealer and many times since and it locks up to where I trust it. I have had good luck with liner locks from BM but prefer the Axis and that is why I got a Mini Barrage when I got the Torrent. I may have to stop for a while on the new BMs for a month or two. BTW, I like this Torrent a lot.

gah, that's what I dislike about liner locks, minor imperfections and a hard to view part can cost you a finger, or at least a few minutes on compressing your finger to stop the bleeding.

best of luck to you Smiler

Yo got my 890 today. very Happy. see product reviews for 890.
#461/1000. did have to fiddle a little with stop pin to get a better line up of the liner lock. It will not center. But the entire liner lock is over the tang which equates to about half of the total width of the tang. It does not take much pressure to release though.
Not having had it long enough to cut much with it yet I will be cautious.
