I EDC a 610. No real problem. It carries a lot smaller than one might think. I've had much smaller knives that felt bigger in the pocket than the 610.

If you feel comfortable using something that big in most of the environments you find yourself in every day, then the pocket carry shouldn't be an issue at all.

The 610 is a truck, a big truck. I love it. The only thing with it is, if I'm going to be places where I want to carry something that big, I carry a fixed-blade.

The 610 carries quite a bit smaller than most fixed blades though. The clip set up also has it riding very low, with only the bare minimum exposed. In my area, open carry of a fixed blade would draw the immediate attention of the authorities and keep me out of almost all public venues. The 610 allows me to carry something of fixed blade size (open), and near fixed blade strength, without causing a ... errr ... ruckus (sorry, I just had to).

Off duty officers at my local gun range frequently comment on how small my 610 carries in the pocket. Several have recommended that I make sure to carry my CCW at all times with it though, just to avoid any misunderstandings if I'd get stopped. They said the 615 isn't a problem, but that the 610 might be. Always best to check your local laws.

Interesting reading this, I never considered getting a 610 due to its size but will consider adding one to the line up.. Thanks

I carried one for a couple of months, then sold it. It carried fine on slacks, shorts, and Levis. It was just so inferior to the 806 Big Grin. The pocket clip does not grip like the the originals, and when I tried to flaten the opening a hair it snapped right in two. I really miss the big truck, er i mean Ruk now.
