Make a "mini"-LFTi, w/ a tip-up carry option. Retain M4 goodness.

Roger that. The current LFTi is simply a thing of beauty......but she's just too big to carry around daily in front of the sheeple. IMHO Frowner

Hopefully y'all know that by 'mini' I mean reducing it just slightly, like 3.5'' blade by 4.25'' closed'ish. I'm not really thinking like mini-grip small. Something between mini-grip and current LFTi. YMMV Big Grin

Good point, Blueram. My LFTi is the only Benchmade I own that I can flip open without pulling back Axis buttons. Of course, it is a frame lock so it has no Axis buttons, but it just flips open with the wrist only. If it was tip-up with no other changes, it could open up in your pocket giving you a nasty surprise when you reach in. Eeker

I would assume out of liability concerns, all Benchmade liner or frame locks come from the factory tip down. Don't expect that to change anytime soon.

I would really like to have a Dejavoo, Skirmish, and a Subrosa in a tip up configuration. Terzuola, Lambert, Chris Reeve, Hinderer, Strider and many more have no problems making tip up carry, frame and liner locks. They don't seem to have any liability problems...... Is there really an issue here? Roughly 90% of folks are right handed and IF a knife began to open in the pocket it would be stopped by the back of the pocket itself.

Thanks to the lawyer types and as usual, let's all cater to the minority, we wouldn't want anyone to get a booboo - I'm sorry was that snarky?
