Thanks for sharing the news kj. I find that odd that the Gold Class Mini Nitrous Stryker is at a higher MSRP than the earlier Gold Class full size Nitrous Stryker that retailed at $325. I understand you can take into account inflation, but I don't think by that much....

God only knows where the pricing for the Gold Class knives comes from...The prices seem to be based heavily on the predicted demand, more than on any tangibles such as cost of manufacture, etc.

I was wondering the same thing about the price being based on the predicted demand, but had no hard facts to back up the statement. The one thing that I do know is that the 912-71 Nitrous Stryker did seem to be highly sought after. The low price point helped with the demand I think, so maybe Benchmade is anticipating....either way, I'd still have to say that I feel the Gold Class 525 and 940 are more attractive and desireable to me. I think the Axis lock has got a hold on me...

With MRSP set at $400 this one will be available for around $300 on the streets which is reasonable for a gold piece w/o damascus IMHO..

Again, Stryker, CF, S30V ........

I'm beginning to think the high number that you were quoted, kj, of Gold Class knives to be released this year might not be that far off. So far we have a Gold Class 525, 940, 480, and 907 to be released...what's next? Not complaining, but that's a lotta Gold Class...
