Just wondering why so many people are selling their 275's ? They haven't been out that long and yet I have seen quite a few of them for sale here. I love mine and wouldn't dream of selling it. Are people finding it too big after getting it in hand or just checking it out and then deciding they don't like it?? scmedic "The Medic" Pardue Pimp #10

It is a big knife, not really too big, but big. Honestly, I think it is another issue. When you get the knife in hand, it has the aesthetic appeal of a 1982 Jeep Wagoneer... Now, it is a well made, well designed, functional knife. If you are going to use it for what it is designed for, it will serve you well. However if you are looking for a knife that you look at, and it says "WOW!!!" and is a knife you want to show off to friends, or just looks "bad @$!@#" this is not your knife. I am going to say, it is those people who are getting rid of them. ----------------- Current President Brotherhood of the 420 & Viceroy of the Knights of the Gravitator. SPTA Founding Member. In my case, somebody was asking for a 275 in trade and was offering a knife I wanted more. I can get another 275 (and will), but the one I got isn't available any longer. I like the knife a lot, but Mark G. has it mostly right. It's really well built, and feels like a tank, but it's not sleek. I think it will wind up having the same kind of polarity as the 755 MPR. People either love it or they don't care for it at all. Very few people end up being blasè about it. -----=====-----=====-----=====----- KnifeRights Member

I think it's got the Rukus problem... not a lot of blade for the bulk. Sure it's rugged as hell, built like a tank, and stronger than any other Axis lock. It's also over twice as heavy as a Griptilian for a small increase in blade length. The Rukus is still one of my favorite designs, and I love my Adamas folder and wouldn't sell it. However, I like them for the design, not the practicality. They're more rugged than I need and bigger than I want. If I were the type of person that only kept what he carried, I'd have to sell mine too. But I'm not, so I'll remain a happy owner of the Adamas and several Rukus models. @Mark: The Adamas looks pretty bad ass to me. =) __________________________ Griptilian: 1x Gold, 1x M2, 3x M4, 3x S30V, 2x D2, 4x Ritter, 1x NRA, 1x Blackwater, 2x Cabelas Rukus: 610 Proto, 610 1st Prod, 615 Proto, 615BK, 615-1, 615-2, 615SBK-2

I went to my local Gold dealer yesterday on the way home from school and looked at a 275. It IS very 'Jeep Wagoneer' like, but very stout for those that want one for that reason. But anything that makes the 710 look small is too large for me. Even though the 741 is equally large it's sleek at the same time. And yes, I'm seeing a lot of these up for trade/sale too. I was wondering about that. 350, 520, 525, 525BK-1101, 530, 580-1102, 580 Proto, 583-1, 585-1, 710-1, 710-2, 710D2, 710HS, 722, 732, 740, 740 Proto, 741, 745, 746, 746-1201, 750, 790, 800, 800HS, 805-1101, 812, 830, 831, 835HS, 840, 845, 890, 905, 907D2, 910, 910SCG, 912D2, 913D2, 12400 Proto, 12410, 14205, 14210, 40022-100. I think it just seems like there are a lot of those for sale right now on the secondary market. Being a new model and getting a lot of attention, any movement on them is recognized. It's like after you buy a new car and start driving it around, you start seeing more of that model than you did before. They were always there, but you notice them more.

Every time something new comes out there is a rush to get it first. And then there is a flood product back on the market. It happens with knives and it happens with so-called boutique tube amplifiers, two products I enjoy and play in forums about. Human nature is never satisfied. -.- Looking for 558DLCM4-500 number 029 and 520BK-1101 number 99

I just picked up #235/1000, (black handled version) last night after visiting it at the knife shop for the third time, couldn't help it anymore. I carried it for the rest of the day yesterday and plan on carrying it today. Of course I often carry a ZT 200 as well, and after comparing the two, its almost exactly same blade length, and same handle length, although the 275 is a bit thicker even in the handle. I definitely don't plan on getting rid of mine.
