hey guys just wandering what it is like and how you like it.. i am about to get one and i want to know how you guys like it. and also does it compare to the regular 520 in use? size don't matter. just the s30v blade compare to the 154cmThis message has been edited. Love mine. I carry it more than any other knife I have. Handles are great. Can't help you with teh S30V comparison though. I never see a huge difference between the 2. | |||

I have a hybrid with a standard 525 satin blade and the gray handles and love the way it looks. And yeah it's hard to tell the diff between 154 and S30V most times. 350, 520, 525BK-1101, 530, 580-1102, 580 Proto, 583-1, 585-1, 710-1, 710-2, 710D2, 710HS, 722, 732, 740, 740 Proto, 741, 745, 746, 746-1201, 750, 790, 800, 800HS, 805-1101, 810, 812, 830, 831, 835HS, 840, 845, 890, 905, 907D2, 910, 910SCG, 912D2, 913D2, 12400 Proto, 12410, 14205, 14210, 40022-100. I think the biggest difference when comparing two steels is which one is going to be a bigger pain to resharpen. your s30v "should" have a thinner edge than your ats-43/154cm ths taking advantage of s30vs ability to take a thinner edge without rolling etc. KnifeRights.org Charter Member #606 - How about you? I got my one of a kind 525SBK-701 from Steve Harvey and it is a good size for EDC. I've got like Joe_K...-701 handle with a plain-plain 154CM blade. I like the 701 handle a lot more than the standard 525 handle. It's up there with my 140HS and 615...top three Benchmades. Great knife. Personally, I was happy to trade away a serrated S30V blade for a plain edge 154CM blade.
