Im willing to bet that the youtube video on the 940 by the guy who says dude alot, is the reason for such high bidding on the red 940. First time I seen it, I said to myself that I need a red 940. Then quickly learned that wasn't gonna happen. I showed my buddy the same video and he too wanted a red one and only a red one.

At least 950 pcs of red handled 94x were made (500 941BC1RD, 50 protos of that model, 100 each of 940-RED in coated, plain, CE & PE, and 50 each of the models currently listed on ebay).

I have been watching the bay for quite some time for a Red 940 but have kinda given up the last two I saw on the bay went for 250-300 range
