While the AFCK is a great knife, I don't know if it could be considered iconic...

Silence blasphemer! Demon, in the name of Jayzus, I command you to release this man! Wink

The AFCK was the FIRST G-10 and Ti production "tactical" folder with premium stainless (ATS-34) just like the hand makers were using, just like the ones Turzoula and Emerson were making. AND it was a better knife!

Ask anyone who was hip to the tactical folder scene ten years ago which knife pops into his or her head first when you say production tactical folder, and 95% of the time it will be either the AFCK or the Sebenza.

Big Grin

What do you know? You just joined the forum a couple of months ago. I think you're just a troll. Big Grin

All kidding aside, I stand corrected. The more I think about my post, it should be dismissed. The AFCK has every right to be considered iconic for just the reasons you stated. I was honestly waiting for someone to throw up their arms in disagreement for what I said...

All in fun. Hey, if the AFCK is no big deal for you, then it isn't one of your folding knife icons. U got the right.

Cheers!

Agree here.
What we must keep in mind is that this is a BM forum meaning we will lean towards picking BM for our so called iconic blades.
However.
I personally know lots of knife people here in Sweden and most consider BM to be a quality company. Most however, are not collecting BM the way most do on this forum. BM to them is a Grip or Vex for the dirty tasks and the collection goes more towards High-end customs, Striders, Emersons, Microtech, Elishewitz, Terzulas etc etc.
But mention the AFCK or Emerson/BM CQC7 to any of them and they get a dreamy look in there eyes. These two knifes are truly the ones that brought the tactical folder to the great mass and any tactical knife collector of age (30+ maybe) will have some form of relationship with them.
That in my mind makes them Iconic.
