It looks to be a flat shoelace type stuff .....
Is all paracord flat ?? Does it come in different widths ?
When its cut .....dont the ends fray ?

I must be on the wrong forum Confused

It's parachute cord/550 cord. I believe it's just nylon. It's not flat until after you "gut" it. There's a few strands of "string" inside that give it it's strength.

It can fray, so you just slighlty melt the edges.

here's the insides of the three that I did

It is nylon - according to wiki.

Even if you remove the core yarns its still quite strong - it should hold 100 kg (about 250kg w/ the yarns). But if i would have a lanyard made of paracord i'd like that it still had its yarns..

One of the names - 550 cord - comes from the fact the the cord is rated to hold 550lbs. I can attest that while Dall Sheep hunting in AK, when I got myself into a bit of a bind, that it will at least hold 220lbs (me) on a single strand. Strong stuff when you leave in the inner cords. Always have some in my day pack.

So I ordered some skull beads from The Lanyard Zone that were shipped 12 days ago, and still no sign of them. When I ordered them, I didn't know they were in Canada and I've never ordered from them before. Is it me, or is this a really long time? Can customs be holding beads for that long, or what?

I don't think customs would be doing anything with them. Seems like a fairly long time, but we don't know how quickly they shipped them or how they shipped them.

I know people buy from them a lot, but I don't like the fact that there's no phone number for them. That always bothers me. There are definitely some skulls I wanted to get, and a couple of the ti beads.
