If we're talking "Heftiest" here, I take that as the stoutest, toughest knife, not neccesarily the heaviest knife. Maybe a blade thickness to length ratio and in addition not the thickness of the handle, but the thickness and strength of the liners. Going by that I would have to say the 14205 gets my nod. I've had both of the Rukus models, still have the Rift (great knife!), but for me the HK is hands down where the beef is, it is one tough knife. Haven't tried out the 755, but that guy looks severly stout as well. That and $1.07 will get you a Whopper Jr. off the value menu!

Well put Mr. B-man308. The criteria you've set forth to determine which knife is the stoutest and toughest is well thought out.

I agree with your conclusion: the stoutest, toughest Benchmade folder is the HK14205Axis.

Great knife. I like mine and carry it often.

My 630/610 tie for that honor. My latest, a large Bone Collector 15020-1, gets honorable mention - it's thinner/shorter blade than my 520 makes it less than one tenth of an ounce lighter, too. Hmmm, my 420's, 670's, etc - and that wad-o-knife 755 I love, they all are fairly hefty... oh yeah, that's why I bought them!

I still vote for the 520. Combine the overall package....blade, scales, size to weight ratio, etc.... and it's a pretty beefy folder.

I say the 610 is the hefty knife out of all of the chosen ones.

I'm going to follow that up and say the Benchmite in your picture may be the least hefty Benchmade.
