I've got two older 820's
an ats34 with found hole
a 154cm with oval hole
not bad little knives for the money or when you need a smaller EDC

BTW - on this post, just picked up a NIB 830 Ascent, with Spydie hole and ATS-34. Thanks for the comments and the info on these older models.

At one time, I had just about all the Ascents they made, and wrote up a nice thread giving the differences of each one. However it no longer seems to exist in the archives.

Just a little tidbit. When they first came out (circa 1995-6's ish) they were called The Eclipse, and the name had to be changed as it was already in use by another knife company.

These are very nice knives in the lighter EDC category, and Benchmade classics...and getting harder to find, NIB even more so.

As fas as info on these, that's getting harder to find also...best info I have is from Patryn's site, if I may:

http://www.pbase.com/patryn/my_knives

Go to the catalogs section, great info in there.
