The blade steel is M390 ...... anyone have any input on it as to what it compares too ??
I believe Siu Blue Wind posted a link to the steel but I havent the foggiest how to find it again.

Thanks ...... what I wanted to know was is it classified as a steel snob steel Big Grin
Really ..... that was what I was gettin at ...... I only want super stuff Roll Eyes with in reason of course ....I do have some 154cm.
Speaking of steel snob ......I just recieved a Kershaw SS Shallot with CPM 110V ........ awsum knife.

I believe that Shallot to be SS, not titanium, but it IS a great knife!

Had one of those a while back. Liked the blade steel, couldn't get excited about the slick metal handles tho.

If Im not going crazy your chart RX says AKA 390 is known as DuraTech 20CV. Thats what Rick Hinderer Uses on his blades!!! From personal use, I have to to say thats some pretty dang good steel, I havent had any problems with mine.

Thanks for the chart Rx. It appears from your chart that 390 is probably as close as you are going to find to ZDP. It also appears that it has very little similarity to M4.
