The 14205 is considered a blue class as far as I know.. At least my 14210 is. Mine is an older one and an LE.

14205, & the Model 14200-70X - HK AXIS Clip-Point

Those are the only two I would want.

I thought this linbe was a cheaper line, one they made and didnt put there name on, like Maytag does in appliances.

Not at all. While some of the imports have been moved to the HK line, the USA-made 14205 and 14210 remain a couple of the best Benchmade designs going.

I'm having a late lunch at my desk and see this blasphemy about the 14205 and 14210. Mad

You tell 'em Joe!

14205 just happens to be my EDC today. Crappy cell phone pic.

Rick

ETA: Man, that pic is extra crappy. I'll replace it with a better one.

There was a red class Benchmade. These were the so-called entry level. H&K and Harley have some great designs mixed in with what is left of the red class. The red class was done away with for 2010 and some of the remaining made in the USA designs were kept and mixed in. I hope this helps you understand some more Tom.

Here's the post from Benchmade from back in January http://benchmadeforum.com/eve/...31004502/m/560109306

To the Benchmade Forum membership:

I would like to offer a public apology to big70tom.

My post above was a feeble attempt at humor but in retrospect it comes across as snarky and mean-spirited.

Tom, I'm sorry. Enjoy your entry into the wonderful world of Benchmade Knives.

Rick
