Just noticed the 482 and 483 both have a 2.48" blade on the Benchmade website. That doesn't match what some sites are saying. I thought the 483 would have a 2.85" blade. Not important, just noticed haha.

I think it's interesting there's a return to lockback designs, and I am a big fan of these.

This latest Blade Magazine there is an article in the back covering these knives; and our friend Sal Glesser stated they will continue to make these knives and thinks they are about as strong and simple as could be...even stronger than locking liners, so the man said.

The two models in this category, the BC 15050 and LW 40022 currently hold the most interest for me, and for this person's budget look like good buys.

Oh yeah...I'd much prefer to have a lock-back than a liner lock. I have several lock backs, but the only liner locks I own are my two 690s.
