It would have been cool to get one of these in M4 with a clearcoat. Frowner Confused Wink

+1; I would have loved to get a 746 w/M4

Has the pictured knife been up for pre-order anywhere yet? Also do we know what steel its going to have? I love the look of it. Thanks

EDIT: as far as CF vs G-10; I am a g-10 guy. I like CF on some knives, but prefer G-10. Buffed CF is pretty cool and has a decent grip. The sculpted CF on my Gold class Torreent is really nice. I am just not too much of a fan of traditional CF.

In answer to your question, the SHOT show knife (746 CF) will feature D2 steel.

They'll come up when dealers know just how many they're going to get. The good news is that I don't think they'll be quite as popular as the 800-1001 was and there's 500 PE as opposed to 250 PE and 250 SE as there was with the AFCK.

Call up your favorite dealer or three and ask them to send you an email when they're going up for ordering. I've heard that some allow for pre-orders, but if the two I called allow for pre-ordering, I'm not important enough to rate one. They told me "watch the site".

I own one carbon fiber scaled klotzi , but many g10 scaled knives. I don't hate the klotzi , but I don't like the way the side edges of the carbon fiber feels. It almost feels like fine grit sandpaper. I would agree with others that g10 has a " slick" feeling , but so do wide receiver gloves.Imho the g10 feel is perfect. I haven't tried this with the carbon fiber, but you can keep your fingernails filed with Benchmades g10 texture. Wierd but true.
