You know, the M4 806 came along about the same time as the CF S90V Manix 2. Both knives had the attention of their fan base and sold out quickly. If you were ever inclined to buy a Spyderco, this is definitely one to grab. It has a lot of the features that attracted me to the M2 Ritter- wide, full flat ground blade, great steel, the Manix is a tad wider overall but thinner. I find it to carry better than the Ritter. Not sure about weight, but they feel very similar. I also prefer the skeletonized liners with CF scales to those on the Ritter. The street price was quite a surprise- a lot of nice features for $170 shipped. I like both, neither is likely to leave my collection anytime soon Allen Elishewitz Preservation Society Member: 440c Nim Cub, 875S, 690, 690-400, 730HS/735, 732D2BT, 710HSSR, 710-801, 552M2-600, 814HS, 812SBT,943, 835HS, 520, 525, 805HSSR, 805-1101, 800HSSR, BM-32, 812-801

All my attention went abruptly into the 806 hence no Manix for me. --------------------------- "We are going to fight them fairly, and with honor...and my idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby harp seals!" -LtCol McCoy , USMC

That CF Manix 2 in S90V promptly jumped my Spydie ratio a touch. FYI, it is way nice and once you handle it, the plastic Axis-type buttons are not an issue. ********************** ********************** You are the Sum of Your Actions. Knife Rights Member

I guess there are supposed to have another run of the PE G10 version coming out soon. Might have to pick one up. --------------------------- "We are going to fight them fairly, and with honor...and my idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby harp seals!" -LtCol McCoy , USMC
