I too am a big 710 fan. I never liked the 520's aluminum handle. Once I got my hands on the Bone Collector handle though and put the 520 blade in it, it's a very nice knife...comfortable, but a bit on the chunky side.

+1, I drop mine clipless in a large velcro BM pouch and it carries nicely that way. A little snug for EDC pocket carry.

I can see why some guys love the 710. It has a good-sized blade and carries really well for knife with a nearly 4 inch blade. And because it's kinda slim, it doesn't fill your pocket the way a Grip or 520 will.

But that's the trade-off, right? If I'm using the knife alot, I like a little more handle thickness--like the 520 or Grip. I do carry a 710 from time to time for a change of pace.

I need to work out a trade or something one of these days and try that too.

If my handgun is printing through my shirt and someone says what’s that lump or are you carrying a gun I say it’s a Colostomy Bag. Big Grin

Thanks for the feedback, Ill report in when it arrives. At the very least I owned it to myself to try this model. Much like the 94x, its one of those knives you never really see anyone talk s*hit about.
