I only have a dozen or so BM's and I started to realize that I only use 5 with any frequency: 520 710-801 943 6150sbk (only in my shop) 140 M2HS I have a few of others in my collection: 210 TK 151 CF 551bkD2 14500 707 140sbk 800s Here is my question, I am thinking about dumping all the knives I don't carry that much, and put a little coin into a few different versions of the ones I do carry often like 520bk with some CF scales and other custom features. A manunal 615 so I can carry it legally here in CO, things like that. For you that have dumped a portion of your knives for whatever reason, do you regret it? I don't have safe queens just users, so I might not get $$$$$ for them, so I am debating over if I should just keep them, or sell them to someone who would use them more than me? What say you? I have had some purging of the collection from time to time. I regret selling 20% of the knives I have sold. Of all the Benchmades I have sold I miss the 425SBK I sold the most. Keep the 800S, it will be hard to replace. Also keep in mind... It is a "buyer's" market right now. You WILL sell your knives at a loss. ----------------- Current President Brotherhood of the 420 & Viceroy of the Knights of the Gravitator. SPTA Founding Member. I've cleaned out the stable a few times. A few of the knives (maybe 5%) I ended up regretting getting rid of, so eventually, I picked them back up later. My personal recommendation would be, if there is a knife that you don't use and know you never will, get rid of it. It's just cluttering up your life. -fj ********************** ********************** You are the Sum of Your Actions. Knife Rights Member

Unless you need the money ....keep-em Ive regreted selling alot of knives ..... I sold my 13100 a long time ago and just bought another one today. If you liked it long enough to keep it this long , you should still keep it. especially the discontinued ones. I buy knives knowing I,ll never use them ....there just Purdy to look at ....and such. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Contempt Prior to Investigation - Dont knock it till you,ve tried it. I'd also suggest keeping those you'd have to either buy or trade something else to get back. I have a few regrets too, traded a number I had to have later and it took me about a year to balance everything out. But as said above by FJ and others if there's a few you really don't use wouldn't have second thoughts about just do it. Some of us might want those "extras"! 350, 520, 525BK-1101, 530, 580-1102, 580 Proto, 583-1, 585-1, 710-1, 710-2, 710D2, 710HS, 722, 732, 740, 740 Proto, 741, 745, 746, 746-1201, 750, 790, 800, 800HS, 805-1101, 810, 812, 830, 831, 835HS, 840, 845, 890, 905, 907D2, 910, 910SCG, 912D2, 913D2, 12400 Proto, 12410, 14205, 14210, 40022-100. I am in the process of doing the same thing almost. I am trying out different makers. So far it has been good. It was had to let go of one of my Ares, but I know it went to a good person and I have another one also. I am still guna sell a few more. As Mark said, keep the 800s. That will be hard to get back, and if you don't want it down the road you won't have a problem selling it then. ____________________ Allen Elishewitz Preservation Society. 730, 910HS x2 I being poor have only my dreams, I spread my dreams beneath your feet, tread softly, for you tread on my dreams. I say carry everyone of them one last time. If after a few days with each knife you decide to let one go then let it go. Just make sure it is what you want. ------------------------------------ We need a 615 LE with carbon fiber scales. Could we also get a 630 with an axis lock?

If there are some that you just don't dig anymore I say dump them. It sounds like you are still going to use the cash to extend other parts of your BM collection. And completely off point. Your username sounds really familiar. You got an account over on IH8MUD? _____________________________________________________ 201-91, 551H2O, 610BK, 705BC1CF Forum, 705, 10115

Call me a pack rat but I don't dump any of 'em now a days. Every knife or firearm I've ever moved I've ended up regretting in the end so I just don't do it. If I need more money to buy something, I just bide my time and save up. Just my $0.02. --------------------------- "We are going to fight them fairly, and with honor...and my idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby harp seals!" -LtCol McCoy , USMC
