How many people would like to see this one : a perfectly scaled down Ares with a 3.25 inch blade, red/black G10, WITH AXIS ASSIST ( no safety please )? This would be a perfect EDC, and I want the first on off the line.

Minus the axis assist and I am 100% game. I am not a huge fan of the assisted opening blades myself.

Heck sign me up for a regular ares, still having trouble finding a PE one of those.

Hmm...anything's possible but unlikely. It sure sounds good though, I like the Axis assist and never use the danged safety so ditching that would be cool, altho BM's probably done it for legal protection.

Just the classic Ares would be better, IMO

Yes Sir, i'm with you on this.

There was a similar thread like this some time ago.
The best what people could agree on then was there should be a mini and a maxi Ares available.
But I predict that when you add a assisted opening system no budy can agree on a version as it adds even more choice.

Any way I don't think it will happen at all.
But if it does.....
I'm down for the slightly changed classic Ares or the Maxi Ares.

Yup, nothing too fancy - just a full production Ares. Satin-finished, plain edged blade in S30V.
Black G10.

They'd sell like hot cakes.

Yeah, I started the thread suggesting the "Ares Major" with a 3.75 inch blade, and the "Ares Minor" with a 3.25 inch blade. I think an Ares with the Axis Assist would really sell ( nostalgia plus new tech ). Hope everyone has fun with this thread.

I'm all for the re-introduction of the Ares; however, I don't care for assisted openers, so I'd say leave that part out. Smiler

Do I need to move back into the hut? Wink

Actually, don't see it happen. In reality, there are like 75 people who really loved the Ares, 90 of which are on this forum...

Now... That being said. I DO think a LE CPM90V Ares... Well that might get that number up over 250... Smiler
