Recently I sent in my Shoki and lg axis bone collector because the blades sat all the way to one side. I also wanted to see if BM had more natural wood inlays. They changed the blade on the BC for some reason but came back in the same situation. I fixed the blade centering myself so all is good now. Now for the Killer experience. I had talke to Micah on the phone and she said the wood inlays I had were better than the ones they currently have. No big deal; I can deal with it as they aren't too bad. It sounded like they were going to replace them free of charge even though I told them I would be willing to pay for the change. I got my knives back yesterday. They said they replced the blade, cleaned, adjusted, oiled, and sharpened as needed for the BC. This was a brand new never used knife. I am very appreciative they went this far as I only wanted the blade centered. The Shoki had seen mail opening only a few times.Oh forgot to mention that the edge on the shoki barely had a cutting edge from the factory in a couple spots. This is what they said they did: Replaced Left handle (pivot hole stripped) must have been from the factory as I never touched anything. Replaced the liners, BLADE, pivot and screws, cleaned, adjusted, oiled and sharpened as needed. You should note that I put Blade in caps and you will see the reason. This is the best part and I really thank BM for everything they did. Only downside is I have a touch of vertical play but I will deal with it. How often do you see this unless you intentionally did it at a premium. Shoki with M390 and not the CF Shoki This message has been edited. Last edited by: INFRNL,

Wow! I'm thinking that I need to get a better job so I can afford more knives, as that Shoki keeps getting closer to my must-have list (I could use a good dress folder). ``````````````````````````````````````````````````` Confuse-us say: "Man who stand on toilet high on pot." Looks great! The more I see the Shoki, the more I like it. Personally, would have loved to see it as the forum knife, but ahh well. I guess I'll just have to pick one up anyway... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 140, 211, 350S, 440, 520-1102, 525, 580-1002, 581, 710 D2, 770, 885-08/00, 910HS, 910S, 912, 940, 943, 14100, 14460 Soon ( not soon enough ), 2012 Forum knives...

Looks like a nice knife, but how do you like the button lock. It seems to me that it might be in a bad spot. All the same, I would like to check one out some day.

I am not sure if you guys noticed or caught it, but this knife normally has an S30V blade. From sending it in; I got a free upgrade to M390 that is used in the newer 480-1 CF Shoki The Nak lock really isn't as bad as you'd imagine. On mine, sometimes it is difficult to press all the way to get the blade to release. Its actually in a good spot and no worries of accidentally releasing the blade. You can open and close the knife easily with one hand. Maybe more difficult if you are left handed. I like natural materials more than manufactured and this knife just called my name. This was my first BM and I really love it. I have never seen the CF version in real life, but this one with winewood inlays appeals more so than the CF. Here is a little more inspiration for those interested. This is my favorite sm EDC. you can easily fit it in you 5th jean pocket This message has been edited. Last edited by: INFRNL,

I agree that a pocket clip of some sort would be great, but the included leather pouch is not to horribly bad. Keeps the knife protected and slides in/out easy enough. One thing I do not like is that it is not deep pocket. I thought somewhere i saw someone retrofit a clip onto this knife. I do not recall exactly where or what I saw

yeah, did notice the blade too, but it really is the whole package that grabs my eye, not just the blade. And yeah, I just love the worked spacer too, really sharp looking! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 140, 211, 350S, 440, 520-1102, 525, 580-1002, 581, 710 D2, 770, 885-08/00, 910HS, 910S, 912, 940, 943, 14100, 14460 Soon ( not soon enough ), 2012 Forum knives...
